My creative week so far…..and time to give up!

Well, I’m giving up on my January challenge of creating 3 images a day and uploading the best of the bunch. So I suppose I’m a bit of a failure..haha. Today I uploaded the last to my art group page. Here’s just a few of the ones I finished for the challenge.

My Creative week and digital art challenge

I’m still participating in a digital art challenge in my art group until the end of January. The idea is to do three quick images in under an hour and upload to the dedicated fb group and if we miss a day we go back to square one!.. I seem to go from one genreContinue reading “My Creative week and digital art challenge”

Happy New Year and my colorful creative day!

I spent quite a long time on this new piece! Hope you like it. Definitely needed some colour in my life at the end of this year and beginning of 2021. In the new year I’ll do a mini tutorial on how I did this piece of art. Wishing you all a wonderful New Year!

My Creative week, update on my marketing mini-course for visual artists and a free printable calendar

Well we’re gradually inching towards the end of this bumpy ride which 2020 has been. I hope you are all keeping safe! I didn’t have much time for art this week but found the time to design a printable monthly calendar which you can receive for free here! I hope it will help you withContinue reading “My Creative week, update on my marketing mini-course for visual artists and a free printable calendar”

My creative week, a collage of horses and adding texture to photos to give an artistic look

For a couple of these images I used a texture over the top of the original image and used a blend mode (overlay) in my photo editing software. Open your photograph in your software: Photoshop, Corel Paint shop (which I used here) or the one of your choice. I always duplicate the image. Make sureContinue reading “My creative week, a collage of horses and adding texture to photos to give an artistic look”

Using gold leaf effects technique in your art and crafts

Have you ever thought of using gold leaf (you can buy flakes or sheets at a good art supply shop or online) to embellish your artwork or crafts and create a beautiful, original piece? A touch of gold leaf on your design will give it an aura of elegance, even if you just put aContinue reading “Using gold leaf effects technique in your art and crafts”

My Creative week, a bit of fashion art and some updates about my Online Course journey

Having fun this week with a digital art composition I created. I took the photograph in Rome (obviously….Lol) and added these gorgeous ladies as their designer suits (from the 50s??) and colours just leapt out at me! I can just imagine them strutting and strolling down Via Condotti in all their finery. I may doContinue reading “My Creative week, a bit of fashion art and some updates about my Online Course journey”

My Creative week and 3 tips on marketing and selling your art and crafts online

So here you are sipping tea (if you’re like me) and working on your latest creation and time trundles by in a dreamy fashion. You haven’t got a care in the world, and you’re absorbed in your latest art or craft piece and the current colour palette. Lovely!!! Then you remember you should be thinkingContinue reading “My Creative week and 3 tips on marketing and selling your art and crafts online”

My creative art week .

Just having a cup of tea and working on my online course. In the meantime I came across some of my art / digital art which I did a couple of years ago. The first piece of the lady reading at the beach was a piece I submitted for a competition. The other pieces haveContinue reading “My creative art week .”

Visiting the Highlands

Just sometimes I enjoy doing art and photo challenges for fun. You’re given some photos from Pixabay and some art and textures from Shift Art (the people who run the monthly challenge). Then you create a composition of the items. This is one of my favourites which I called Visiting the Highlands. Have a niceContinue reading “Visiting the Highlands”
