For a couple of these images I used a texture over the top of the original image and used a blend mode (overlay) in my photo editing software.
Open your photograph in your software: Photoshop, Corel Paint shop (which I used here) or the one of your choice. I always duplicate the image. Make sure your layer panel is open (view – palettes – layers). Choose a texture paper you want to use and open it in your photo editing software then – click on edit in the top menu – click on copy – go back to your photo and click on edit – paste on new layer. In the layer box you will find the blend mode tools – make sure the texture layer you added is active (highlighted blue in my software). Adjust the blend in the layer box to the one you like and also adjust the transparency, which is in the box next to the blend modes. Happy creating!
I have also added a link in the menu to my online course ‘Start selling your art and crafts online ‘The Essentials’ course for beginners (you can click here to see it). Delighted if you take a look.
